I grew up a 90's kid in Chicago, in a Mexican-American household where the music never stopped. From my mom, "los bailables" — merengue, cumbia, and the top 40 hits of the 80s and 90s. From my dad, banda, norteña, ranchera — la música mexicana regional that's essential at any event with Mexican roots.
But what pulled me in was the radio. Chicago DJs mixing live — 90s and 2000s hip-hop, R&B, club, reggaeton. It would amaze me how all my favorite songs were completely mixed together in a way that made me feel like I was at a party. Those were the sounds of my teenage years and the ones that made me want to start DJing. Twenty years later, I'm still doing it for the same reason: the music.
Today's dancefloor is nostalgic. People want familiar — but they also want variety. They want someone who can move from bachata to banda, or from 80s pop to 2000s hip-hop, without sounding all over the place.
Picture your night for a second.
Your tía who's been waiting all night for "Suavemente" finally hears it. Your cousin who's been begging for Bad Bunny gets his moment. Your friends are still on the dancefloor when the house set lands. And your mom and dad? They run to the floor the second the first banda hit drops.
That's the night I build.
What I do is pretty simple. I curate a custom music experience for each room — every event, every party — and I make sure the transitions are seamless so your dancefloor never breaks.
I don't take on events where I don't genuinely understand the culture or the sounds your guests would enjoy. So you're not getting someone who just presses play on Spotify. And I'm not a wedding DJ who learned a few Spanish songs to seem bilingual. This was my entire upbringing.
The foundation underneath all of it is faith and family. That's why I also love serving community and church events.
